In 2017 I turn 30 and wanted to do something special to raise money for charity. As I have done quite a few marathons I wanted to push myself so decided I would do an Ultramarathon. Most people’s first ultra-marathon is 50km (31 miles) so not much further than a marathon.
Not me, I have gone for a 53-mile race. Well, don’t do things easy when it comes to running. I did a marathon before I did a half marathon.
Anyway, I like a challenge. I plan on covering my training over the next 20 weeks as I complete my training.
The charity I am running for is very close to my heart. I am raising money for the Down Syndrome Charity, for those that don’t know, my older brother suffers from this condition. In the UK 1 in around 1,000 babies are born with downs and this charity helps new parents. if you would like to sponsor me as I take on this amazing challenge you can visiting this Viring Money page. I will also by chucking myself out of a perfectly good plane later in the year to help raise money as well.
